Yesterday's damage

Okay, so yesterday was one of those days that everything you try on looks good. That everywhere you look you see something that you'd like to see hanging in your closet. I saw it as a challenge to damage control my wallet. And mission (kind of) accomplished!

It definitely was my accessories day. I found the knuckle rings I was looking for, and more.

And just when I thought that OPI couldn't come with anything new, there they were: The Liquid Sand by Mariah Carey collection. Of course, I had to add one of these to my polish collection. So I chose for the 'Can't Let Go' purple Liquid Sand polish.

Here are the pictures of my new possessions. Oh, and I received my Zara goodies, so I added those too.

What do you think of my loves? And the new OPI Liquid Sand collection?
Yay or nay?

Perfect shopping weather

The sun is out, which means that I come crawling out of my winter nest.

And where can you find me if I'm not home? That's right, in my favorite shopping capital city: Amsterdam.

Bare with me and may God watch my wallet. Amsterdam here I come.

AFW 2013

First of all I really need to apologize for the fact that I haven't blogged since Thursday! I'm well aware that this is a big blog-crime but I have a good excuse.

Friday I stopped at my previous job due to privacy reasons... which really sucks. But on the bright side, Monday I received an e-mail from a college I applied to and: I got accepted! In February I'll start my 'Commerciele Economie' study. Because I wanted this study as a base for my following study I'll apply for Fashion Branding at the Fashion Institute of Amsterdam next year!

Okay so, enough about me. Let's talk our favorite subject: Fashion

Sunday the 27th of January Marga Weimans wrapped up the 18th Amsterdam Fashion Week. I picked some of my personal favorites of our very own Fashion Week.

Me, myself & my ongles (nails)

The ones who already know me, know that I've been crazy about nails, nail art and nail polishes. The last few weeks my nails suddenly became extremely brittle and they all broke off.. which was a horrible experience for me, because I refuse to polish itty bitty boy nails.

So yesterday I decided to get a manicure and added some length to my nails with some subtle stiletto tips. I'm in love!
I picked a dark OPI red but am really brainstorming what to do to give these nails my own twist (1 color on all 10 nails really REALLY bores me).

So I wanted to ask for recommendations.. what would you like to see on these nails or what would you do? Gradient nails, gradient tips, stripes, polka dots, glitter, herringbone pattern, halfmoon mani, what what what?
Here are some pics of me and my nails. Let me know what you would recommend! (cry for help)

Winter and spring 2013 trend: to do or not to do?

This spring 2013 (and winter 2012/2013) we're having a major flashback to spring 2012: The All White trend.

Yes, all white as in white on white. So you're probably thinking what I was thinking when I read this. White on white isn't a fashion faux pas anymore?

For the girls out there who refuse the white on white trend no matter how much of a trend it is, no worries. This Spring is also all about contrast. In other words: black on white and black and white stripes. Yay!

I'll provide you with some inspiration to get used to this tricky trend.

Are you going to follow this trend? Or sticking to the never-wear-white-on-white rule?
